Driver Theory is an online platform to help you prepare for the official Irish Driver Theory Test. We have 1,200+ practice questions, realistic mock exams, and detailed explanations for every answer.

You can try free practice without signing up. However, creating a free account lets you track your progress, bookmark questions, and access your dashboard across sessions.

Practice Mode gives you instant feedback after each question with explanations, great for learning. Exam Mode simulates the real test: 40 questions, 45-minute timer, no feedback until the end. You need 35/40 to pass.

Tapping "Review Later" bookmarks a question so you can revisit it anytime from your Bookmarks page. It's useful for marking tricky questions you want to study again.

Hard Mode shuffles the answer order (so you can't memorise positions) and gives you 25% less time in exams. It's a Pro feature designed to make sure you really know the material.

Go to the login page and click "Forgot password?". Enter your email and we'll send you a reset link. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.

If you registered with Google, always use the "Continue with Google" button to sign in. Email/password login is separate. If you need both, you'll need to create a password via "Forgot password?".

Currently, you can't change your email address. If you need to switch emails, create a new account. Your display name is set during signup.

Go to your Account page and scroll to the bottom. Click "Delete Account" and follow the confirmation steps. This permanently removes all your data and cannot be undone.

Choose the plan that matches your test category. "Car & Bike Pro" for category B (car) or A (motorcycle). "Truck & Bus Pro" for category C (truck) or D (bus). Each is €9.99 for 60 days.

No. This is a one-time payment. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no auto-renewal. When your 60 days expire, you simply go back to the free tier.

If you experience a technical issue with your purchase, contact us within 48 hours and we'll make it right. We offer a free tier so you can try the platform before upgrading.

Your plan runs for 60 days from the date of purchase. You can see exactly how many days are left on your Account page.

You go back to the free tier. Your progress, bookmarks, and exam history are all kept. You just lose access to the full question bank and exam papers until you renew.

If you practised without signing in, your progress is saved only in that browser, so clearing your browser data, switching browsers or using a private window loses it. When you are signed in, your progress is saved to your account and comes back on any device, so check that you are signed in to the same account you practised with.

Yes. While you are signed in, your progress is saved to your account, so your stats follow you from your phone to your laptop. Practice you do while signed out stays in that browser, and when you next sign in we keep whichever copy has more answered questions.

Go to the Stats page and scroll to the bottom. Click "Reset All Progress" and confirm. This clears all your question history, exam results, and streaks. It cannot be undone.

Your account data (email, plan) and your practice progress are stored securely in our database. Passwords are encrypted. Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Yes! If you had an active exam or practice session, it will be saved. When you come back, your dashboard will show a "Continue" button to pick up where you left off.

Make sure you're on a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. Close other browser tabs to free up memory. The site is optimised for mobile but older devices may be slower.
