The Irish Driver Theory Test is a computer-based exam you must pass before applying for a learner permit. It consists of 40 multiple-choice questions drawn from a bank of approximately 800 questions for Car & Motorcycle (Category B/A) or 400 questions for Truck & Bus (Category C/D). You need 35 correct answers (87.5%) to pass and have 45 minutes to complete the test.
